Frequently Asked Questions
- Who will
be shooting and editing my wedding video?
At Fox Video, you will meet and be able to consult with
every person involved with your wedding video. That includes
shooting and editing. We produce everything in house and we
are dedicated in giving you our full attention and service.
Your satisfaction is very important to us.
No matter which company you choose, it is so important to choose a company
in specializing in wedding videos only. Companies who offer additional
services, like wedding videos, most often sub-contract it out to another
company. The objective is pure profit, not quality services and videos.
Why would you want to put your wedding in the hands of someone who cares
only about your money? Your day and you are too important for that.

- Do you
have input as to how your wedding video will look?
This is your wedding video. A video company should
be able to create a video that reflects your personality
and taste, not what they want. Your complete satisfaction is
very important to Fox Video and we want to work with you to
make your wedding video better than you could have hoped for.
When you choose Fox Video, we will have two design sessions
with you to discuss the details of your day and your choices
for music and style for your edited video.

- Does
the videographer use a digital camera?
Our equipment is important to us and the final quality
of your video is directly related to the quality of the camera.
At Fox Video, we use the Sony professional three chip digital
DVCam camera which in our opinion offers the best color and
picture quality.

- Will
the videographer be using bright lights at my reception?
Due to the use of cameras mentioned in the previous question, room lights
have now been virtually eliminated from use and we are now able to keep
your room ambience and natural light. We can achieve this because the new
professional digital cameras are very light sensitive and there is no longer
a great need for a lot of light to get a beautiful picture.

- Is your
company still editing like ten years ago, or are they using
the latest equipment & techniques to create a professional,
high quality wedding video?
Times have changed. The ability to give high quality wedding
videos is here for the wedding video editor. Fox Video's equipment
uses nonlinear editing equipment which retains the high quality
our digital cameras captures. Our editing equipment also gives
us more tools for creating high impact and artistic wedding
videos.

- Is the
videographer educated in this technical field? Does he
use the latest techniques and trends?
A dedicated professional videographer is a member of associations
and attends seminars to learn and stay abreast of new technologies
and techniques. Being educated, a videographer will know how
to light a subject properly, create a second camera effect,
without the added cost, and create visual beauty while working
in a spontaneous and uncontrollable environment. Equipment
is important, but how a professional uses the
equipment is even more important. Anybody can point and shoot
and click on a mouse, but only a dedicated videographer and
editor can make it look like art. That is why we believe in
attending all of our local association meetings and international
conventions.

- Will
the videographer hand hold the camera and be unobtrusive
throughout the day?
For more exciting angles and versatility, we at Fox Video
feel it's better to go hand held. Tripod mounted or cart mounted
cameras are limited in their angles. They pan left and right,
but their heights don't change. Hand held, the videographer
can discreetly make the camera the eye of the viewer and join
in on the tears and laughter unobtrusive to the guests
instead of just observing from afar.

- Does
the videographer use a wireless mic during the ceremony and the
reception?
Audio is 50% of the finished product. Poor audio can ruin
a video production. During the ceremony, the only way to hear
the vows is by using a wireless mic, usually a lavaliere. During
the reception, good audio is achieved by using wireless mics
by the band/DJ to ensure a clean audio track. Fox Video uses
these techniques to cover the sounds of your wedding day completely.

- Do you
interview our guests?
We leave that choice up to you and we will find out your
preferences on that subject before your wedding day so that
we do not have to bother you on your wedding day.

- How
much do you charge for your wedding video packages?
As you have noticed, we do not publish prices of our packages
on the internet. We understand you want to be informed of prices
to be able to fit it into your budget. But unfortunately, we
are afraid your decision making on wedding videos will be based
solely on price. In this industry, you get what you pay for.
At Fox Video, our prices includes the quality and customized
wedding video as well as our complete service and dedication.
We encourage you to come to our studio so that we can demonstrate
our work and answer all of your questions in a personal and
professional environment. To contact us or to make an appointment,
you can reach us at 718-351-2400.

- Do you
offer our wedding video on DVD?
Yes. We do offer DVD and we produce those DVD's in house so your DVD can
be a full interactive and custom product.
